2-D MIXED MEDIA

I enjoy working in abstract representational and non-representational styles. My process usually starts out with clear wax on a dry horizontal, flat surface. I then add light washes of watercolor on very wet paper. Once I have a feel for what's emerging on the paper, I then apply fresh leaves and flowers from my garden. After, the entire painting is pressed with boards until completely dry. The images are then usually mounted on wooden canvases, and sealed with an acrylic medium.
